I am responsible for the vision, strategic direction, and product roadmap of the company.

How did you join the receivables industry?

After completing my Ph.D. in Economics in 2007, I spent six years at Barclays building predictive models for credit risk and collections. In 2013, I founded Trust IQ dba Trusting Social to provide credit scores to 1 billion consumers in Asia. We are now two-thirds there.

With the emergence of GPT-3 in 2022, I saw a chance to cut banking service costs by 10x and personalize banking services. In July 2023, we launched our Generative AI Agent Platform, including the Collections Agent “Collin,” now deployed with top Southeast Asian lenders. After ongoing discussions with regulators, banks, and debt buyers, we plan to launch in the U.S. under the name Kompato AI Inc in February 2025.

In the receivables industry, what emerging trend has your attention?

I see consumers shifting to digital communication in Asia and the rapid adoption of Generative AI in the banking industry.

What are your hopes for the receivables industry?

I hope the industry will embrace Generative AI and Digital to bring more empathy, and personalized solutions to consumers and increase efficiency and compliance to creditors and agencies.

What is your favorite part of working at your company?

We get real-time feedback from consumers to iterate on our AI technologies. There are so many opportunities to make technology more sympathetic, insightful and helpful to consumers.
