What is your favorite part of working at Plaza Services, LLC?

The Leadership team’s trust that we have that supports Compliance and guidance that we provide.

In the receivables industry, what emerging trend has your attention?

The CFPB always has our attention. I am very curious to see what changes occur in the near future around technology (emailing and texting), as well as any additional constraints with dialing. It is critical how organizations evaluate their strategies in efforts to reach that consumer. The data and tools that can be utilized from vendors can heavily be a game changer for companies. I am interested to see what our landscape looks like in the future.

What industry change do you predict over the next 5 years?

I foresee additional constraints around dialing and possibly some additional changes from the bureaus for credit reporting. Possibly we see litigation driving some change. I think we are going to see more involvement from states in decisions that impact collections.

How do you define success?

If I look back at the last 20+ years; the most rewarding and memorable times for me have been seeing others grow and evolve into leadership roles. I have had the privilege of working with many wonderful people over the years. Success for me is knowing that in any small way; I had a positive impact on someone growing themselves.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in life?

It’s ok to say no.

What advice would you give someone entering the receivables management industry?

Get ready for the ride and be a sponge. There is so much to learn in this industry.

What are you most proud of or what is your biggest accomplishment?

My biggest accomplishment in this life will always be my children! Professionally, it would be putting myself through school while raising 5 children and still working.

What is your favorite book or podcast?

I love all John Grisham, Iris Johansen, Dan Brown, Delia Owens, and Lisa Jewell books.

If you could do any other non-industry job for just one day, what would it be?

Most likely something with the Military or Medical.

People would be surprised if they knew…

I have been collecting snow globes since I was a kid. Have 50+. I can whistle really well.
